Реактор словоизвержения (Yep…)

When I look at the flag of the former USSR with its hammer and sickle flowing under the star of the Communist party, I think of gentler times when the kind hands of Lenin and Stalin brought together the farmers and industrial workers to stand as a proud people and against American imperialism.

Unfortunately, the Soviet Union fell, and in the wake of that great civilization came skinheads, rap music, McDonald’s, and now TorrentReactor.  Vicious rumors that TorrentReactor has purchased the village of Gar in Russia and renamed it to Реактор словоизвержения (Torrent Reactor) are apparently true.  There is still a small chance that this is all some kind of elaborate hoax.  What’s more disturbing is that Gar TorrentReactor is not that far from the Seversk nuclear reactor.  Why?  I’ll tell you why.

To give the RIAA and MPAA the finger, that’s why.  Now technically TorrentReactor is a torrent tracking service.  Personally, I think they’re a bunch of cock-suckers, and so do the DRM police.  Torrent sites have always been hounded by the RIAA and MPAA (the good people who protect your movies and music from pirates).  So, why not buy your own town in Russia where they can’t touch you.  If it’s true, it’s brilliant.  No one will ever be able to touch TorrentReactor, except the Russian mob.  If it’s false, it’s brilliant because they just created a huge amount of viral advertising.  And now, a word about piracy:

Torrent Pirates:  I don’t care what your excuse or justification is.  If you illegally download copyrighted material without paying for it, you’re a [expletive deleted] thief and a criminal, and you know it.  Personally, if you want to steal other people’s shit, I really don’t care; what gets my goat is that you pretend it’s righteous when you know damn well it’s not.  Pirates created DRM, and every other piece of anti-pirate bullshit technology.  Thanks for ruining it for everybody else.

Sky Pirates:  Sky Pirates are cool.  Unlike little Torrent script-kiddie pussies, Sky Pirates have the God Damn common courtesy to walk right up to whoever they’re hijacking and shoot them in the face (or run them through).  They don’t hide behind their Nintendo Wii and jack-off to their illegal copy of Sailor Moon, and they certainly don’t pretend that they’re moral and upstanding citizens of the community.  They’re Sky Pirates, they kill cowards and steal their Aether because they’re REAL pirates…

The innocent village of Gar should not have fallen victim to TorrentReactor.  If these criminals wanted a town from which to build an indestructible power base, they should have taken one that’s easily bought for a much lower price than no one gives a shit about; like Washington DC.

Do not agree. not at all, not at all. regardless of Pirates or not Drm’s would have been created due to corporate paranoia and thats all i’m gonna say.

Internet piracy is a GOOD thing – yes, it increases the restrictions on all citizens (including law abiding ones) but it is an efficient way to tell all the capitalists to go fuck themselves. Obviously, those who torrent are getting to them, otherwise they wouldn’t have created DRM’s (or at least not until they could find a suitable excuse).

We pay for pretty much everything in life. Thank god we can get our movies for free.
